Junior/Medior Test Engineer (Job #260402)

1. Mission Context

Join a key IT service provider working within different domains of the public sector. As a Test Engineer, you will actively contribute to ensuring software quality across various IT projects. You will take an active role in the testing process, collaborate closely with business and project teams, and contribute to improving testing methods, test coverage, and overall quality.

2. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Execute functional and non-functional tests within diverse IT projects
• Collaborate with business analysts, project leaders, and development teams to analyze requirements and derive test scenarios
• Actively apply agile principles: iterative work, refinement, collaboration in multidisciplinary teams, and flexibility with changing needs
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and generic Gherkin scripts
• Apply test design techniques and coverage methods
• Document test results, monitor defect follow-up, and quality status
• Manage and maintain test data
• Provide explanations and demonstrations of tools like SoapUI, Postman, and Swagger to non-technical stakeholders
• Support and coach fellow testers and stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the testing process and propose an "ideal test process"

• Testing Frameworks: Agile testing, structured testing, ISTQB, STBox, TMap
• Agile Methodologies: Scrum, iterative cycles, teamwork, flexibility
• Test Management Tools: Jira, Confluence, Xray
• API Testing Tools: SoapUI, Postman, Swagger
• Scripting Languages: Experience with at least one scripting language
• SQL: Good knowledge of database querying
• Test Design: Gherkin scripts, test cases, test scenarios
• Application Architecture: Basic understanding (Java and containerization are a plus)
