F5 Network & Security Engineer (Job #260902)

Mission Context

Join a key player in the energy sector as an F5 Network & Security Engineer. The F5 BIG-IP solution is an important central component within the datacenter infrastructure and is heavily used to implement application load balancing, high availability concepts, and security features.

You will work within the IP Networks team, part of the Datacom department, which manages the datacom transport network, IP/Ethernet/WiFi networks, security infrastructure (firewalls, DMZs, VPN concentrators, load balancers), and critical networks connecting high-voltage substations and data centres.

 Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design load balancing and high-availability architectures
• Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions for application delivery and network traffic management
• Configure and administer virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading, encryption configuration, traffic inspection, and reporting
• Deploy and manage Web Application Firewall (AWAF) policies
• Integrate authentication and access management using APM and enterprise identity services
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and service optimization
• Provide incident, problem, and change management support
• Manage security patching, software upgrades, and lifecycle management of F5 infrastructure
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of application delivery, connectivity, and performance issues
• Create documentation, operational procedures, and facilitate knowledge transfer to stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and methodically with strong sense of responsibility
